HARVARD MODEL UNITED NATIONS AUSTRALIA
Sydney, Australia | May 21 - 24, 2026
Letter from the
Secretary-General
Dear Delegates and Faculty Advisors,
It is my honor and pleasure to invite you to the fourth iteration of Harvard Model United Nations Australia, set to take place on May 21-24, 2026, at The Cranbrook School in Sydney.
My name is Bautista MartÃnez, and I am a student at Harvard College with the privilege of serving as Secretary-General for HMUN Australia 2026. I have been part of the HMUN Australia team for the past three years, working closely with the Secretariat and staff to help build a conference that prioritizes strong academics, thoughtful committee design, and a well-run delegate experience.
HMUN Australia brings together a passionate team of Harvard College undergraduates and motivated students from across the region. Our committees are designed to encourage careful preparation, substantive debate, and collaborative problem-solving. We aim to create an environment where delegates are challenged to engage seriously with complex issues while developing practical and well-reasoned solutions.
In the months leading up to the conference, our Secretariat has been focused on refining every aspect of HMUN Australia 2026, from committee topics and structure to conference logistics and operations. Our goal is to deliver a conference that is both academically rigorous and smoothly executed, ensuring a productive and rewarding experience for all participants.
We encourage delegates and faculty advisors to review the information available on our website as they prepare for the conference. Should you have any questions, our team is always happy to assist.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sydney in May and to a successful HMUN Australia 2026.
Sincerely,
Bautista MartÃnez
